Multiple Teams · Four former Trojans may be headed to bowls

MUSCLE SHOALS – Middle Tennessee State’s 41-10 victory over Old Dominion Saturday means four former Muscle Shoals Trojan football players could be participating in bowl games this season.

Caleb Felton and his Blue Raider teammates have been mentioned in several national media outlets as going to the AutoNation Cure Bowl in Orlando.

Middle Tennessee finished the regular season with a 6-6 record.

Martavious Mims and the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers could be headed to Fort Worth, Texas, for the Armed Forces Bowl.

Western Kentucky finished the regular season with a 6-6 record.

One former Trojan could be playing back in his homestate, based on national projections. Dee Liner and the Arkansas State Red Wolves seem to be a solid pick for the Camellia Bowl in Montgomery.

Jordyn Peters, a freshman defensive back at Auburn, could be looking at a trip to the College Football Playoff after a win over Alabama at home Saturday.

Auburn will first need to face Georgia Saturday in the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta before finding out its bowl destination. National media outlets have the Tigers advancing to the semifinals if they beat the Bulldogs this week.
