Boys Varsity Track, Girls Varsity Track · Trojans strong in Don Heidorn Invitational


Muscle Shoals got some strong performances Saturday as both the boys’ and girls track teams finished in the top five of the Don Heidorn Invitational at James F. Moore Stadium.

Muscle Shoals’ girls finished third in the team standings with 100 points. Wilson won the event with 120 points, while Hartselle was second at 110 points.

The Lady Trojans’ Kaylie Wright won three events (100, 200 and long jump) and Kara Nix won both the 1600 and 3200 meter runs.

Muscle Shoals’ girls won the 4×100 relay.

Muscle Shoals’ boys were led by Nick South, who won the 110 hurdles and the 300 hurdles.

Trey Williams won the 100 meters.

The Trojans finished fourth in the team standings.
